Builders Lime - 20kg
Hydrated builders lime that makes mortar smoother, stickier and easier to trowel.
Builders lime (hydrated lime) is added to mortar and render to make it smoother, stickier and easier to work. It improves how the mix spreads under the trowel and helps mortar bond and hold water while it cures.
Bricklayers blend it with cement and sand in the classic mortar mix, and renderers add it for a more workable, less brittle finish. The 20kg bag is a site staple. It also has a garden use for sweetening acidic soil.
