Rock Dust

Rock dust is a fine 5mm crushed rock used as a bedding and levelling layer. Screeded flat, it gives pavers, stepping stones and slabs a firm, even surface to sit on.

Because it is fine and slightly powdery, it compacts into a tight skin that resists movement, so your paving stays level over time. Landscapers also use it to top and level paths before laying, and swept into joints between pavers.
